Which Operating Systems Are Supported by ViceVersa?

Windows 7 (All editions. ViceVersa PRO only. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows Vista (All editions. ViceVersa PRO only. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows XP (32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows Server 2008 (All editions. ViceVersa PRO only. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows Server 2003 (All editions. ViceVersa PRO only. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows Home Server (ViceVersa PRO only. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows 2000
Windows Server 2000 (ViceVersa PRO only)
Windows NT 4.0
Windows Me
Windows 98
Windows 95

* The special ViceVersa PRO installer for Windows 64-bit can be downloaded from here: http://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item74.htm

For other operating systems such as Unix, Linux or Netware, as long as the machines running these platforms are visible to the Windows machine, ViceVersa can synchronize and replicate files.

ViceVersa must run on one of the supported operating systems listed above.

Is xp64 bit supported?

Example:

Laptop running Xp home 32bit
Workstation running XP Pro 64 bit

Will it be possible to synchronize between the to OS ?

I tested ViveVersa under Wine (Win Emulator) and Linux and it "almost" worked. It would be nice if tgrmn put just a little effort in that.

ViceVersa is the best synchronizer of all, and I miss it too much. In fact it is the *only* Windows program that I miss in Linux.

Yes, we tested ViceVersa PRO and VVEngine on Windows Server 2008 and found that they work fine. No issues were found.

Can I synch a folder from my office PC on XP to a Flash Drive -- then access from my home PC on Rel 7 and resynch with the office? (Using Windows Briefcase does not work for Folder synch XP to Rel 7)

Also do the hard drives have to be the same size or just capable of holding the data?

Windows Small Business Server 2008 is supported (all Windows Server 2008 and 2003 editions are supported).
The hard drives do not need to be of the same size.
