I was doing a test restore from one hard drive to another (both local drives on the same computer), and got this error for every large file, meaning files over 40-60 megabytes in size. The restore then of course failed.
The source is encrypted and compressed, and the target is not.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong? I'm a little concerned about the reliability of ViceVersa . . . the purpose of testing was to ensure that if my primary data store did fail, that the ViceVersa backup would be able to be used, and right now I can't guarantee that! I tried the restore a couple of times, both with the same results.
Are there problems encrypting and/or compressing files that are overly large?
Thanks!
