Help required with Long/Short filename problem

I am in the process of setting up a backup mirror of two drives to a remote W2K Server. VVPro is running on the remote server. I have a problem where the source contains 2 files called, for example NEWTEX~1.TXT and New Text Document.txt. Basically each file overwrites the other one!
I am sure this can be overcome as I have a test system that I set up some time ago that sucessfully copies both files. I'm guessing that it is a W2K3 setting as I can't see any differences in the VVPro profile settings, I just don't know what the setting might be. I've checked the obvious FileSystem settings in the registry which are the same on both machines.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Honestly... I do not know ... but it is not a VV option .... if you find out please let us know
