Having VV on a windows boot up disk like BartPE: http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/
would be very helpfull for recovery of files from back up media to a replacement hard drive. It also would be possible to back up the entire C: drive while it's not running.
Plugin creation information is available from the above site.
Note that plugins can require key code entry at the time the CD is built so this should not be a problem.
Thanks, Tom M |

Thanks for this post!
I am definitely going to build the rescue CD/DVD.
I agree that having VV on the disk would be fantastic! |

Wonder if it would be possible to create a boot CD where ViceVersa is automatically started when the CD is booted and ViceVersa backups the entire disk to the network (eg a NAS disk).... _________________ --

[Interesting... will have a look at the site to see what's required for a plug-in. thanks]

There is a built in plug-in for the network drivers etc so working a network via VV/BartPE should be no problem. I'm not sure if changing the autorun.ini file to further start VV after it has booted up PE could be possible.
