I've been testing the beta version of VVEngine and found that it is very easy to use compared with VVLauncher. We are looking to put this into production and was wondering when we would be able to purchase VVEngine? Thanks for a great product. |

Hi - we also think VVEngine is a major improvement to VVLauncher We are planning to release the final version of VVEngine in 2-3 weeks. _________________ --

So if we decide to use it in production now, our company should be able to buy it in 2 or 3 weeks prior it expiring? |

Has anyone figured out how to use VV engine (which indeed solved my Password problems) with McAfee? I use both Firewall and VirusScan, and it seems to be the latter that is causing problems. But whereas you can allow exceptions on Personal Firewall, no such facility seems to exist on the Virus program. At the moment, schedules won't run because McAfee thinks there's dodgy worm activity.
Ideas, anyone? |

VVEngine opens a HTTP connection locally (so that it can answer to local browser requests) What error are you getting from the anti-virus ? Is VVengine starting at all? _________________ --

I'm getting a VirusScan message that says "A suspicious script has been detected. Program.... .vbs contains suspicious scripting activity and has been stopped." I have the option to override this on a one-off basis only, so if I'm not at my PC, it won't run. There doesn't seem to be any obvious way of overriding it permanently.
Thanks for your help. |

C\ProgramFiles\VVEngine\StartVVEngine.vbs
seems to be the it objects to.

Strange.... But you can start VVEngine without this script. Launch VVEngine.exe and then VVEngine Home to access the user interface. _________________ --

Not quite sure what you mean by VV Home - I can launch VV Engine by over-riding a McAfee block (but only if I'm doing it manually) - but where's VV Home and what do you want me to do when I find it?/ |

Sorry , I meant launch VVEngine.exe and then launch the shortcut VVEngine Home to open the browser. Both files are in the VVEngine install folder. The script 'Start VVEngine.vbs' does the same thing automatically. _________________ --

We are now using VVEngine. When it was first setup, it was working fine. Settings that we've chosen is when changes are detected, syncronize with target. Now when changes have been made to source, it does not run even though it shows it's enabled when looking at it through the browser. Any ideas when it's not working. By the way, VVEngine is setup as a service as well. Any help would be great. Thanks. |

Have a look at the file vvengine.log (click on 'Show Advanced Commands...' at the bottom of the VVengine interface in the browser).
Sometimes a job can run so fast that it seems not to be running in the browser, but then you see the run appearing in the last runs list.
Otherwise try disable and then enable the schedule and see if it runs again. _________________ --
