It is mentioned here and there that NTFS files and folders permissions can be replicated. What about FAT files? If those cannot be replicated, what happens when you try to synchronize files between a system using NTFS and an other systme using FAT? |

When you synchronize/replicate files between a system using NTFS and an other system using FAT (eg most USB drives), the attributes that are not supported by the FAT system are dropped. These are the security attributes and the attached data streams. This is normal. The same happens with Windows Explorer. _________________ --
