|
|
Hi,
Installed VVlanucher as a service on a win2k server and initially it worked fine then for some reason the icon disappeared from the sys tray, accessing server via terminal services client.
What setting do i have to change to fix this up?
ViceVersa PRO 2 Build 2010 (SN30)
Thanks

Hi - try starting VVLauncher again from the Windows menu, the icon should come back...
I would like to suggest that you try VVEngine for scheduling ViceVersa profiles. VVEngine was designed to run seamlessly as a Windows Service. Its support for Windows Services is much better than VVLauncher. It is still in beta version, but in pretty good shape.

Hi Guy
We anticipate to release VVEngine in the next 2-3 weeks. We are collecting customer feedback on the beta version. If you have a chance to test the beta version, let us know what you think!

I tested the beta version of VVEngine and it's not working correctly. I see that the changes have been detected but it doesn't complete as I see it says "Execution not complete". There is no error message that I can follow up to fix what ever the problem is. Could anyone assist me. Thanks. |

We will clarify this error message in the final VVEngine release, but it is most likely due to source and/or target folder not being accessible. You can check this using the profile log. You can set a profile log for a profile in the ViceVersa profile settings. _________________ --

one question that I have is, why can the target be seen when running Vice Versa Pro and when using VVEngine as a service it can not see the target. I've mapped a network drive and can see it from the local computer but still errors occur when the source detects changes? Any help would be great. Thanks. |

i believe i got it working. it didn't like the target with drive mapped letters. i found on the faq that a unc path should be used instead. now it looks like it's working. thanks for the response again. |

|

I have a similar problem with the VVLauncher (VVL) system tray icon not being displayed under Vista Business. I have tried launching VVL manually and still the icon does not appear. Rebooting does not resolve this. I am running the latest version. of VVL.
Any other suggestions? |
