|
|
After moving a folder, ViceVersa shows the original folder as <<removed>> (from the disk where it was moved), and it appears in the VV directory (of that disk) in the place where it was moved to. So far, so good.
However, during synchronization, the folder gets copied to the new location on the disk being synchronized, but the origninal folder on the disk being synchronized cannnot be deleted because "the directory is not empty".
Why is that? Is there anything I can do to move folders containing files and have synchronization done automatically, with a query if needed?
PS I find the program very useful otherwise. Thanks. |

Yes. The Folder on the disk being synchronized with the disk on which the Folder was originally moved still contains files.
When I MOVED the folder on the orignial disk, I did NOT COPY the folder, PASTE it to a new location nor DELETE it from its old location (just did a drag and drop).
No changes were made with that equivalent folder on the disk now being synchronized to the disk on which the "folder move" was done. |

Hi, VV should be removing first all files in the folder to be deleted then the folder itself... do you have a log file we can check to see what exact error is given. Do you have an file exclude filter that prevents VV from removing all the files on the folder and therefore also the folder itself? thanks. _________________ --
