I was previously using PRO 1.3 with absolutely no problems.
I recently purchased PRO 2.0 build 2010.
When trying to sync two XLS files I get the above error in V2.0
I then load up V1.30 and the SYNC works.
Why doe s1.3 sync the files and 2.0 NOT sync the exact same files?
This is syncing a laptop runnig XP Home and a PC running XP PRO
The same files sync on the PC when syncing to a backup drive also on the PC.
(The XLS files are updated on PC and then SYNCed to LAPTOP)
SO, SYNCing from Disk on PC to another disc on same PC using V2.0 works.
SYNCing from PC/Laptop using V1.3 works
SYNCing from PC/Laptop using V2.0 fails

Hi - was VV PRO 1.3.1 correctly copying the DACL or not reporting the error? If you do not need to copy the file DACL you can turn that off in the profile settings, under the Advanced Settings, the option copy permissions, security attributes and streams. _________________ --

Thanks, that was it.
I cleared that option and it now works.
That raises this question.
How do you get it to copy those permissions as well? |

Hi, the 2 computers need to be part of the same domain to be able to copy DACL over, otherwise it will fail. _________________ --

The computers are in a home network and are in the same Workgroup.
I am not too concerned about it now that they can be copied/synced. |
