Hi ppl,

I'm looking for an "offsite" backup solution and VV seems to be what I'm looking for.

My idea is to have a network HD that's connected during the day with real-time backup, that I take home at night. Office robbed or burned down during the night? Data secured. During the day? Only one little box to worry about.

Question: More people will backup things and I won't always be there with the drive, so will VV wait for the network connection to become available to start working, adding files to somekind of queue in the meantime?

Delayed delete: It would be nice to configure something that would make VV delete files from the target only a few days later. Is this possible?

VV can be setup to run in the background and will backup as soon as the drive connection becomes available.

Using the Archive feature files can be moved to a temp folder instead of being deleted for a number of days or up to a max amount of copies per file.

We are doing the same type of backing up in our office... and during the day we secure our external HD with a locking cable! Very Happy
