Hi folks,
We use PowerQuest DriveImage to back up our home PCs on a scheduled basis (once weekly). Part of a VV profile I use frequently is to Backup the DriveImage files from our PCs to our home server, and then again from the server to an external USB drive. The target doesn't matter; 90% of the time the backups fail with a CRC check failure. The files are 2GB each in size. They will backup when CRC check is off, but a manual CRC check with other software, or attempting to restore files from the images, confirms that the Backups are corrupt. The files can be copied to the server OK using XCOPY. Running the profile manually or with the scheduler doesn't matter, the files continue to fail. Is there some fundamental incompatibility with DriveImage files? Or 2GB files? The ability to back these up automatically to the server and to an external USB drive is very important to us. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello
I am not familiar with PowerQuest DriveImage, but i guess these would be "standard" files. VV has no probelm copying files > 2GB ... Strange... are you using Volume Shadow Copy or is this a standard copy with ViceVersa? _________________ --

Hi,
These are standard copies - VSC is not being used. The Method is "Backup (Mirror Source to Target)". No archiving, no compression, Buffer size 131072, do NOT try to copy files that are in use by other apps, DO use a temporary file.
Thanks for getting back to me.
