I have had vv pro runnig for about 6 months syncing 3 remotes back to our server (server actually polls remotes). Server is 2003 server, 1 remote is 2000 server the other 2 are winxp (sp2). About 2 weeks ago 1 of the winxp systems stopped connecting. If I turn off windows firewall on the remote it will connect. However vv pro had been connecting thru the firewall before. Is there a certain port that I can open? I now connect using \\xx.xx.xx.xx\data format. Using pin holes thru remote routers

Hi, ViceVersa uses the SMB (Server Message Block) protocol. SMB runs on port 445 or 135 to 139, depending on the setup. For more info please see http://www.petri.co.il/what's_port_445_in_w2k_xp_2003.htm
