slow file transfer over network

i had the problem that the file transfer was very slow from my computer to the windows 2003 server. when i just drag and drop them with the explorer the speed was normal.
after some testings i realize that the kaspersky antivirus realtime protection is slowing down the process.
so if you have problems with slow file transfer try to change the settings in your antivirus software. in my case with the kaspersky it helped that i deactivate the "scan network drives" option.
