I am evaluating VV as a backup solution for all our company notebooks. It looks like an excellent solution so far, an deliminates the problems with Offline Files.
I use Offline folders on my machine, but not for any folders being backed up be VV. However, this morning I got an Offline Folders Synchronization error message, related to files being backed up be VV. These files are not marked as offline files, but were in the offline files folder. I am using VSS.
Is there an interaction between VV and XP Offlines Files technology? _________________ Patrick McCarthy |

Hello, no there is no interaction between VV and Offline Folders... unless the error is related to VSS use (not sure if Offline Folders also uses VSS). VV does not interact with Offline Folders. What error did you get? _________________ --

The problem has not repeated itself, and there are too many variables to narrow down the issue. I will wait to see if it happens again. The mystery to me is how the files in question got into the offline files list. _________________ Patrick McCarthy |
