a) Error: Path with more than 259 characters
[ERROR] Path with more than 259 characters. Can not create or replace "....aaa.pdf". Refer to the ViceVersa help file for how to enable long path support.
Enable Long Path Support in ViceVersa:
https://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item31.htm
b) Error: File in use by another process
[ERROR] Can not open ".... bill.xlsx". The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
Cause:
The file is likely open in Excel or another program, preventing ViceVersa from accessing it.
Solution Options:
- Close the file:
Ensure that bill.xlsx is not open in any application.
- Use Volume Shadow Copy (VSS):
Go to Profile Settings > Advanced Settings and check: Use Volume Shadow Copy
This lets ViceVersa read locked/in-use files via a snapshot.
- Enable Retry on Locked Files:
In Profile Settings > Advanced Settings, enable: Retry on File Copy/Delete Error
Specify the number of retries and delay between attempts.
- Skip files in-use:
In Profile Settings > Advanced Settings. The file will be skipped for this run.
