I can’t figure out how to exclude a folder from the backup process. I have a corrupted folder that I can’t delete on the source so the software gives an error message. I want to use the scheduler and don’t want errors. So, I thought I would just exclude this one folder from being backed up to the target. I just can’t see where or how to do it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

To exclude a specific folder from the backup process in ViceVersa PRO, follow these steps:

Open Your Profile Settings:
- Launch ViceVersa PRO.
- Load the profile associated with your backup process.

Access Folder Filters:
- Navigate to the Folders section within the profile settings.
- Click on Subfolder Filters.

Set Up Exclusion Filter:
In the Subfolder Filters dialog, locate the Exclude Subfolders list. Add a new filter and enter the name of the folder you wish to exclude. For example, if the folder is named CorruptedFolder, input CorruptedFolder into this field.
If the folder is nested within other directories, provide the relative path. For instance, if CorruptedFolder is inside a folder named Data, enter Data\CorruptedFolder. Or use the full path, e.g. c:\CorruptedFolder\

Apply and Save:
Confirm your changes by clicking OK.
Save your profile to ensure the exclusion is active.

By implementing this exclusion, ViceVersa PRO will bypass the specified folder during the backup, preventing errors related to the corrupted directory.
