When a server reboots the jobs will fail to run until I log on to them and keep the account logged in. Is there a way to make sure jobs will run even if no user is logged in?

Hi, which scheduler are you using? VVScheduler, VVLauncher or VVEngine?

Hi, open the task in the windows task scheduler (VVScheduler adds tasks to the Windows Task Scheduler) and in the task properties check if the task is set to "Run whether user is logged on or not".
Standard Windows users cannot schedule profiles to run when they are not logged in unless they are given the "Log on as batch job" access right. Alternatively you could use the VVEngine scheduler instead.

Is there no way to configure VVEngine to run certain days of the week instead of "Every X days"?

And is there no way to have VVEngine email completion notifications?

Hi , to run a profile on specific days in VVEngine, set it to run every 1 day and then use the "Do Not Start (days)" to nominate days of the week the profile should not run.

The e-mail notification can be set in the ViceVersa profile file (,fsf) itself.

Thanks. I scheduled and enabled all the jobs in VVEngine and logged out but none of the jobs ran last night.

Are the profiles not running at all in VVEngine or they run but fail to copy files? Please check the VVEngine.log or the logs for the individual profiles. thanks

It doesn't look like they run at all even though all the jobs are enabled. I dont see a vvengine.log anywhere and the profiles logs don't have any entries for the last couple days.

Hi, at the bottom of the main VVEngine page, click on "Show VVEngine Settings..." Then click on the VVEngine log file path, to see the log contents. You can also use the path itself to open log with an editor.

OK I found the log. What am I looking for? It looks like the jobs are not running at all. There are no log entries except for the times where I actually open up vvengine.

Thank you, sorry for the delay.

We have checked the log and saw your are not running VVEngine as Service, so when you log out, VVEngine stops running.

To install VVEnfine as Windows Service, please see:

Let us know how setup goes!
