Can Viceversa check, compare and copy file/folder permissions, owner, and other metadata on ReFS files systems?
I'm trying to do this with version 5.5005 and i recieve a lot of errors like this:
2024-03-31 21:44:59 : [WARNING] Source '\\?\D:\MANTIS\Desarrollo\' and target '\\?\I:\MANTIS Desarrollo\' have different inherited security attributes.
2024-03-31 21:44:59 : [WARNING] Source permissions: O:S-1-5-21-1313278483-658755624-3530282400-1109 GU DA;OICIID;FA;;;SY)(A;OICIID;FA;;;S-1-5-21-1313278483-658755624-3530282400-1109)(A;OICIID;FA;;;S-1-5-21-1313278483-658755624-3530282400-1200)(A;OICIID;0x1301bf;;;S-1-5-21-1313278483-658755624-3530282400-1155)(A;OICIID;0x1200a9;;;S-1-5-21-1313278483-658755624-3530282400-1163) , Target permissions: O:S-1-5-21-1313278483-658755624-3530282400-1109 GU DA;OICIID;FA;;;SY)(A;OICIID;FA;;;S-1-5-21-1313278483-658755624-3530282400-1109)

Hi,yes ViceVersa supports ReFS. Those warning seem to be related to file permissions not matching.

This one is related to the fact that the root source and target have different file permissions. _________________ --

In "Advanced Settings" it says "Copy permissions, security attributes, etc (NTFS only)". It should say "(NTFS and ReFS only)" to avoid confusion.
The same in "Details" of "Copy permissions, security attributes, etc (NTFS only)" that says "The following settings are only applicable when copying files and folders between NTFS file systems". It should say "...between NTFS or ReFS file systems". |

Hi, yes, because the new ReFS is compatible with NTFS ACLs it will work fine. ReFS supports many existing Windows and NTFS features such as BitLocker encryption, Access Control Lists, USN Journal, change notifications, symbolic links, junction points, mount points, reparse points, volume snapshots, file IDs, and oplock. _________________ --
