why does vv keep insisting that files on the Windows drive that are deleted are still there and not delectable, when i went directly to that location and deleted the long named files myself?

The files are not shown in File Explorer but shown in ViceVersa? Is ViceVersa running under an admin account? What version of Windows? thanks _________________ --

The files are HTML files with very long file names which occurred when I saved the pages with chrome a few years ago and have many subfiles under them. VV said the file names were over 256 (?) characters and it could not delete them so I used Windows Explorer to delete them directly. They do not show up in the Windows (10) Explorer view but when I execute VV's comparison windows it says they are still there. I am trying to get files mirrored from a USB drive (backed up) from a laptop to a desktop to get the desktop in sync with the laptop. I don't need these old files but VV keeps saying they are on the USB drive that I directly deleted them from. I could send you screen shots in an email but these forums don't seem to allow images.
