|
|
My folder configuration:
groups
- workgroup1 (on the groups drive)
- workgroup2 (local drive X: is mounted)
- workgroup3 (local drive Y: is mounted)
- workgroup...
Backup configuration:
source: R:\groups\
Target: \\10.0.0.1\groups\
ViseVersa Pro does not find workgroup2 and workgroup3. this applies to all local server drives mounted in a folder.
How can I make folders be recognised when a local drive is a local mounted drive?
Tanks for help |

Hi, local drives X and Y are mounted to what path respectively?
Are these paths accessible in other Windows applications like Notepad? _________________ --

The following share exists on fileserv2:
r:\groups
x: is mounted on fileserv2 (a local drive on local storage)
r:\groups\workgroup1
y: is mounted on fileserv2 under (a local drive on local storage)
r:\groups\workgroup2
This applies to all large workgroups.
I can also access \\fileserv2\groups\workgroupsX from fileserv1 with Explorer (full access as domainadmin).
ViseVersa Pro does not recognise all drives mounted locally on fileserv2 when accessing \\fileserv2\groups\workgroupX from fileserv1 (accessing as domainadmin).
Local files and folders located on \fileserv2\groups are recognised. This means files and folders that are physically located on the r:\groups drive and not in a mounted folder.
Access to all folders is possible via the Explorer from fileserv1 using \\fileserv2\groups\workgroupX (and from all clients in the system). |

This sounds like a permission issue... can you compare ViceVersa PRO access vs command line "dir" command? You can have the command line running as admin or non-admin , and you can also have ViceVersa doing the same. _________________ --
