I just built a new computer. I have it connected to my server and can't edit/copy/move/delete any server files on the server from MS Explorer. Yet, all my VV Profiles that I try to sync or copy to the server, I get a message saying "Can not create or replace", "Access is denied."
I have tried running VVPro as Administrator, but get the same error. None of my profiles in VVEngine are working because of this error.
There has to be something set wrong, but I don't know what to change.
Any ideas? |

I installed VVEngine as a service which seems to make everything work... at least today. I can even sync now from the regular VV running manually with the compare window. Will see if this still works tomorrow.
I wish when VVEngine was installed as a service that I could still click the "Edit in VV" link like I could before it was installed as a service. |

Hi, let us know if it stops working. Under which account in the VVEngine service setup to run? PS can't open ViceVersa GUI from the VVEngine when running as a service because services do not have dekstop access. _________________ --

The account that is is set up on as my account, which is an administrator account.
I sure don't understand the inner workings of services, but don't other Windows services open programs on the desktop? For instance, Windows Defender runs as a service and will open a dialog box on the desktop when it has a notification. |

VVEngine as a service will still provide notifications via the taskbar, but it can't start a program (e.g. ViceVersa) on the desktop.
It is strange that it works as service, but not as standard program, if under the same admin account... _________________ --
