I am getting the error " [Can not copy security descriptions (DACL) to file" The parameter is incorrect.
Not sure why this is happening, I am using the latest TrueNAS network storage. I am running the task with highest privileges. |

On the properties page it shows it as NTFS but it is TrueNAS 13.0 with the windows share service running. |

Thanks, can you copy files with permissions manually using Windows File Explorer and/or set permissions on the TrueNas manually? _________________ --

Thanks, does this issue in ViceVersa happen with every file or just for some specific files? Are the same files copied correctly manually, i.e. permissions are copied properly? Could you send the profile log (profile settings -> execution) to support via e-mail please?
thanks! _________________ --

Seems like every file at the moment, permissions are different. Perhaps could be settings in TrueNAS? I just sent you a sample of my log file. |

Thanks, so it might be that Windows file explorer ignores the error when copying files but it does not copy permissions, while ViceVersa reports the error..... I assume in ViceVersa, if you disable copying file permissions, then the files are copied correctly? _________________ --

I tried disabling permissions copying and now it works.
Glad it was something simple, will let you know if anything else comes up.
Thanks for your time. |
