|
|
Hi, All.
Viceversa Pro 2.5 on Windows Server 2012R2.
Copy operation in a foreground UI execution, from source located on network drive (already mapped with 'net use' and referenced as local drive) to target on local drive, after successful copy of one or two files, it fails for all remaining files with message "Function 'BackupWrite' returned error 1784. The supplied user buffer is not valid for the requested operation ".
Even when relaunching the copy the error persists, the only way to run it again is to close completely the viceversa task and then relaunch it again.
Then one or two files are copied fine and then the error occurs again for all the remaining files.
And so on until the end of the files.
Any help is appreciated.
Best Regards. |

Post entered as guest because automatic logout was done while I was writing.
I add that the operation described was also tested with viceversa vers. 3 and 4, downloaded in evaluation, but the result was the same.
thanks in advance. |

Hi, thank you for posting on the forum.
Using version 4, could you try to enable the option:
Do not copy file/folder alternate data streams: When this option is enabled, ViceVersa will not copy file/folder Alternate Data Streams (ADS). Alternate Data Streams are copied by default if both Source and Target support them and this option is not enabled. If ADS cannot be copied, a warning is logged in the log file.
It's in profile settings -> advanced settings.
