|
|
i have a bunch of jobs loaded into vvengine. I have set it tot ell me if certain errors are triggered. However what i dont want is the tray icon showing an error each time a run throws
"Some files are present both in source and in target but are newer in target. If you want to overwrite these files, use the profile option 'Replace newer target files with older source files"
thi seems crazy to me because there is no way to supress from what i can tell. So every time i make a new backup every run gives this error. but its not an error, its a new backup. it seems the only way to get rid of it is to actually over write the newer files but for terrabytes of data this is crazy. |

Hi
The error message
< Some files are present both in source and in target but are newer in target. If you want to overwrite these files, use the profile option 'Replace newer target files with older source files" >
means that you are backing up from a source to a target but some files are actually newer in target (have a newer timestamp)... is this expected? Should these files in target be left as is and not be overwritten?

Usually when you run a backup then source and target files should have the same timestamp... if you compare source and target manually do you see files with newer timestamp in target after a copy and refresh? thanks _________________ --
