In our company we have a subsidiary branch that we would like to deploy viceversa on a file server. Basically the problem we had was this the users would attempt to open files that were on shared drives on our file server but due to distance and network performance it would take a long time to open.
We would like to deploy a computer out there as a local file server and have the vice versa synchronize these files with the files on our main file server unknown to the users. This way they will have greater speed opening files on the local file server but will also be having the files synchronized to our main server which is backed up to tape each night just in case.
We are also running symantec antivirus corporate edition on these machines out there and on the machine we will be using for the subsidiary file server. I am just wondering if there is any known problems with viceversa and symantec? |
