ViceVersa PRO 3 Build 3005 Released
What's New in Version 3 Build 3005:
Copy source files once only, using the archive bit
When this option is enabled:
- ViceVersa will only copy files that have the Windows archive bit set.
- Then, once files are successfully copied, ViceVersa will clear the archive bit so files will not be copied again unless they change, even if the target file is removed from the target.
Normally, without this option, if a file is removed from the target ViceVersa would then delete the corresponding file from source (if sync) or copy the file again from source to target, based on the execution method specified (if mirror, replication, etc). When using this option, the file will not be copied again unless it changes, even if the target file is no longer present, that is, the source file is "copied once only".
This new option is in profile settings -> advanced settings -> more settings. More Info...
Easily show the list of inaccessible sub-folders from the Status Window
If there were some excluded sub-folders, due to them being inaccessible, during the comparison of source/target, they are now easily shown by clicking on "click here to show list of folders that could not be accessed" in the Status Window.
Earlier version only listed the folders in the Output Window and Profile Log File.
Fixed Issues and Improvements:
- Tested ViceVersa PRO and VVEngine on the new Windows Server 2022 preview.
- Fixed issue when using a NAS name for replication that is the exact same as the root source folder name, in which case ViceVersa would report an incorrect error "cannot copy file attributes".
