Error messages unclear / don't know why this is not working

Running as Domain Administrator. Copying from one network share to another.

Source is VNX5300 file server share
Destination is Windows 2019 file server share

When copying using the copy option, the operation works but file permissions are not preserved. When doing sync, 80+% of files will not copy from source to destination.

Reported error message simply says [ERROR] in red letters. Other errors I have seen simply state "unable to create or overwrite."

I can perform these operations manually at any time and they work fine as the same user running the application.

This is running as a trial and I'm going to have a difficult time asking for my company to buy this if I can't get it working.
