I am syncing from local HDD to Network share. Most of the sync is working fine but getting an error on a couple hundred files.

Can not copy attributes to folder.
The request is not supported.

This happens if its a file update or a new file but for whatever reason only for some files (416 out of 25,000)

Log file doesn't show much.

Hello,

what attributes does this folder have?

F:\NVIDIA_SHIELD\Movies\Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle\.actors\

Read-only or hidden or system?

thanks

Read-Only.

Under advanced, Allow files in this folder to have contents indexed in addition to file properties.

Security: everyone, full control.

If I verify effective access, the logged in user has full control and the logged in user is the owner of the folder/files.

Thanks, is there no difference between this folder and other folders that are copying OK? Maybe the . in the name? What type of device is the target where files and folders are copied to? thanks

Can you list attributes of these folders with the ATTRIB command?

More info and a work around. This seems to be only an issue with the .actor folders. Other folders are working. Also, the working .actor folders are showing up hidden.

so.. hidden .actor folders work. unhidden do not.

Under advanced settings I am now calling a script the changes all the source location .actor folders to hidden before the compare.

works fine and I have a clean sync.

why issues with the .actor folders, no idea but its working good enough for me now.
