Since Windows support for the Linux subsystem is getting better all the time, it might be a good idea to look into using Redis as a datastore for various things that VV/VVEngine needs to track.
At the moment it's easy to setup a VM running a minimal Linux distro to get a fast Redis server. |

Hi, no DB would be fast that ViceVersa PRO internal DB which is optimized just for the task of tracking file and file changes. _________________ --

True, but in a web farm where multiple servers are attempting to have identical realtime copies of data it might be be beneficial to have a fast central repository. I'm thinking this would be an "Enterprise"-like feature that would have a proportional additional cost above the Server versions of VV. |
