I recently purchased ViceVersa with the intention of keeping the files between my Windows 7 Desktop and my Windows 10 Laptop synchronized. Right off the bat I created myself a problem. I thought I was synchronizing files between these two machines to the latest files on each. Instead the sync process overwrote my latest Legacy file on my laptop with an older file on my desktop.
Since I selected Synchronize I thought it would update all files to the latest file. I notice that one machine must be source and the other target; does this mean the program will only update files on the target machine. Any help appreciated. |

Hi, working with existing files, the first synchronization will keep the files with the newer timestamp. You can select different execution methods based on your needs: https://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item27.htm
There is a Preview button that will show how files will be copied/deleted before you actually proceed with the copy.
