Is the file sync able to sync between two servers ( or more ) in REAL - TIME, in a similar method as DFS?

or

Does sync require a scheduled task to run? We have massive amounts of data that need to be parsed and compared. If a file pass is required to compare the data on each server, the time that can take in our environment is hours to days when enumerating the data environment. In this case the data sync will be done perhaps only a single time per day vs. as a file is changed.
