Hello

We are trying to use ViceVersa to move files from various endpoints into a single central store. Files do no stay on the endpoints for long and are effectively emptied each run, which is executed via an hourly script.

This was fine initially, but as the central store has grown over time, it is now taking an extremely long time to carry out the comparison as the network links are not great.

I wanted to try the No Rescan option, however this is not currently going to work as the prompt which is presented when it is time to do a rescan of the target seems to ignore the 'No confirmations' setting and so hangs the script.

Is there any way to have VV either not ask for confirmation, or to respect the No Confirmations setting?

As an alternative, would VVEngine be a potential alternative? Or is this more suited to Synchronisation scenarios rather than one where the sources are constantly changing?

Thank you

Hello, how are you scheduling the profile to run? Or are you running the profile manually? thanks

Currently it is scheduled manually - i.e. a scheduled task in Windows which runs 'viceversa.exe <pathtoprofile> /hiddenautoexec' as the action

(For clarity, that's an action of type Run a Program with the program being the full path to viceversa.exe and the profile path and /hiddenautoexec in the parameters both)

The same behaviour occurs however if I run the same manually either from the command line or by right clicking the profile and choosing 'Compare and Execute' from the context menu.

Yes, ViceVersa is prompting with /hiddenautoexec, though only when about to do a rescan. We definitely also have 'No confirmations' selected within the profile settings.
