|

I want to regularly copy large files to my QNAP NAS. The files are about 260 GB and reside on an internal hard disk. This process takes a very long time:
"2019-02-24 09:52:58 : -- Done: 1 (262,76GB) Err: 0 (0) Skipped: 0 (0) Tot: 1 (262,76GB) --
2019-02-24 09:52:58 : -- Average Transfer Rate: 8,73MB/Sec -- Elapsed Time: 8 h 33 min 56 sec"
Copying the same file to an USB 3 external drive takes about 50 minutes:
"2019-02-24 01:18:56 : -- Done: 1 (262,76GB) Err: 0 (0) Skipped: 0 (0) Tot: 1 (262,76GB) --
2019-02-24 01:18:56 : -- Average Transfer Rate: 91,75MB/Sec -- Elapsed Time: 48 min 52 sec"
Normally backups to the NAS are not so slow compared to the same backups to an USB drive. What can be the reason for this extreme slow copying speed?
I use VVEngine v2.1 (Build 2106).
Thank you for your answer. |

Hello, are you using the option "Use Windows native file copy" in the ViceVersa PRO profile settings? Does that make a difference? thanks _________________ --

Yes, this is the solution. The copying speed is now in the order of 100 MB/Sec.
Thank you very much. |

Probably the reason for this problem is increase of the number of junk files., The same problem happened with me, so I know it. I solved that by downloading the IOLO system mechanic which clears all the junk files. Now my computer is working properly. |
