Here is the situation. I need to use VV to make complete backups of a server share. I need to keep 60 days of full backups. Is there a way to have it automatically do this as opposed to having it run another script to put the backup in a folder with the date used as the name and to delete the backups that become older than 60 days? I know archiving is more efficient but the users require full backups daily. |

Hi, you can replicate the share to a target with folder variable <date> (see help for all info on folder variables) so you have 1 replica daily. Then you would need to remove the replicas as they get past 60 days maybe with a batch running in Windows Task Scheduler? _________________ --

Ok thinks. I was aware of the date function was just curious if there was a feature built in to only keep so many days similar to what appears to be available with Archives. |
