I keep getting errors on copying Files... It's not all, just some... I Have a Registered copy of V3 Pro, I initially saw this on V2.5 Pro, Did the upgrade thinking it might be an Bug...
CRC check ... [CRC check failed: file "" not copied correctly.] [ERROR].
I removed the File Name, its not to long...
Thoughts, or Idea's This is a New Drive that's Less than 6 Months old...
The Files are Large - 20ish Gig... Running Win 8.1 pro - 64 bit. Copying From a SSD to HDD.
Thank You.

Hi, after the copy and the CRC check, is the target file deleted? (e.g. it is not there in target).
Please try this:
- set the comparison to just timestamp (no CRC checks)
- disable CRC checks in the profile settings
- copy files as normal
- once all files are copied, select from menu Lists -> Verify -> Verify / Recompare source .... (in the comparison window)
Are all CRC vlaues verified ?

I did Try as you requested, the initial Check returned back verified, but I continue to work, the next check shows the files are different.
I went ahead and recopied the files, and the next check again shows different.
I am not modifying the files, so something is weird...
Any Other Thoughts? |

Hi, can you try this ?
Go to ViceVersa menu -> view - > preferences.
Enable option :
Install 'File Hashes Windows Explorer Extension': Install or uninstall the 'File Hashes Windows Explorer Extension'. When the extension is installed, you will then be able to right click on multiple files in Windows Explorer and show their file hashes: CRC32, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, KECCAK and SHA-3.
Then go in Windows File Explorer and right click on the files in question, both in source and target, and select "File Hashes..." from the menu...
Do they match in source and target? Do they match after a ViceVersa copy or Windows file copy?

I have tried the add in, sometimes it matches, some times it doesn't...
It seems to be a random or intermittent issue.
I've seen as many as 3 different results from the same file...
To me... it just doesn't make any logical sense.
Thanks...

If the hash values shown by "File Hashes..." do not match then there is an issue with the files, i.e. they are different. Does this happen only when copying with ViceVersa while they are always ok when copying with Windows File Explorer? thanks _________________ --
