Hello Support,

I am trying to copy data from one server to another.

VV is installed on the destination server.

The source server is: G2-FS2 and the data is on the d:\ under a folder named G2-DATA

\\?\UNC\g2-fs2\d$\G2-DATA\

The Destination Server is: G2-FS3 and the data needs to copy to the D:\G2-FS2\G2-DATA folder

\\?\D:\G2-FS2\G2-DATA\

No matter what I try 99% of the logs say "Path with over 259 characters, cannot create or replace"

Some files copy, But those are in paths with less than 259 characters

I tried to upload two images but the forum keeps saying this:
Sorry, too many links to other websites in this post.

So, please copy-clip these and paste in a browser:
ubuygas.com/vverror1.jpg
ubuygas.com/vverror2.jpg

Does Long file names work?, What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Sal

Hi, it looks like the error is related to copying files to the archive folders.
If you wish to enable long paths for archive folders, please use notation \\?\ there too. thanks

Thanks, I didn't even realize I added this Archive folder :/ - I did what you said and I'll check it out tomorrow to see if this helps.
