I was just running a check on the replication we have running on the profiles and noticed it had been failing to run for a few months. I found the issue to be the network credentials which I updated, however I needed to save them as ne profiles as it would not allow me to overwrite the current profiles. I updated the XML file to the new files so the engine knows what files to look at and restarted the services, however when I run the profiles I get a message saying the profile is not enabled. I click on enable and try again and it still fails with the same error.
I am running VVEngine v2.1 Server Premium Build 2105 |

Hi,
So i have done the following:
- Removed VVEngine and ViceVersaPro
- Installed the latest version of VVEngine
- Installed VVEngine service and set new domain admin account as user
- Installed the latest build for ViceVersa Pro 2.5
- Reconfigured the profiles and setup the sync times
- Opened firewall TCP ports and checked via telnet
- Installed VVEngine on remote server to open port 8001 for communication
- Updated share directories permissions
All of the above and it still failed!
After hours of testing numerous options, i then changed the service account back to local system and then the profiles started running correctly!
The service account used has permissions to the directory as this was tested, the service account is also the account used within the profiles to connect to the remote shares to authenticate the backup/copy.
Am i missing some sort of permissions that need to be applied for this service account to work correctly with VVEngine?
Regards,
Craig |

Hi,
No still isn't working as we need it to work. It only runs when the service is using the local system as an account, if i change the logon to another account it fails saying it is unable to contact the source directory.
