|
|
Hi,
I've been using VV PRO for many years without any need for support. Now I have a problem. On a blank Samsung T5 Portable SSD disk on Windows 7 64 bits I make a backup using Backup (Mirror Source to Target) and all the files are copied as expected, but when it finishes the list doesn't update because for some reasons all the files in the destination are exactly 1 second "newer" than the origin. I have tried this several times and it is always the same result. As a comparison I have a Seagate hard disk, but there the time stamps are correct. Is there any problems using VV PRO with SSD disks? Is there anything that can be done to remedy this?
I have a screenshot showing this but I don't know how to attach files in this forum.
thank you for any suggestion you may have. |

Hello, we use the T5 ourselves, great drive!
- Is your T5 formatted as exFAT (file system that provides compatibility with Android and other devices) or NTFS file system ?
- Which version of ViceVersa PRO are you using?

Thank you so much Sir/Madam, I didn't think of that. It was formatted as exFAT, I formatted the thing to NTFS and now everything works just fine.
I'm using VV PRO version 2.5 build 2513. I'm a big fan of your product, buy regularly updates and recommend it to all my friends.
Again, thank you for your excellent and fast support.
Regards,
Reinaldo |

Great that it's working now. You can still use exFAT if you need to (however it's not as good as NTFS) and then enable the option in ViceVersa to "Ignore up to 2 seconds difference between files" in the profile settings. In ViceVersa PRO version 3 exFAT is automatically detected and the option is enabled by default. thanks _________________ --

Hi Support,
I just purchased Pro3 online and I have a similar problem instead of an external hard disk, my target drive is SharePoint (i sync a folder from Sharepoint to my PC)
It shows different file sizes and I cannot format my SharePoint to exFat.
any workaround? |
