I run Windows 10 32 bit. The previous version of VVPro seemed to back up my C: and D: Drives successfully. Version 3.0 backs up my D: drive to an external drive successfully. When I run this new version to backup drive C: a lot of the file copies have the message (Security attributes do not match after copying. The operation completed successfully).

The copying is at maximum bandwidth. But it has slowed down: after 24 hours it was 73% complete and after 48 hours it was 76% complete, with an estimated time to completion of over 1,000 hours! Help, please.

The new version checks the security attribute after copying to make sure they match and if not it reports an error. We are working on a new build to make that optional. In the meantime you could switch off copying security attributes if you want. thanks

I am using version 3, with the new 'Recheck File and Folder Security Attributes During Comparison' option checked, and it is still failing. Are you saying that there will be a new version that fixes this issue out soon? I'm trying to recommend/demo this software to a customer and this problem isn't doing it any favours.

I'm not sure if I say he will need to disable the option to stop security attributes from synchronising, that he will welcome that as an option.

Are there any timescales on the new version release that will address this issue?

Thanks

Hi, thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

I was using build 3000, so I have upgraded to 3001 and will re-run my tests tonight.

I'll report back with progress.

Thanks

Looks like build 3001 has done the trick!

Thanks for letting me know about the new build release!
