|
|
I am using VV Pro3 on evaluation. Win7 Home Premium operating system.
I selected:
'Backup' method as I just want a straight forward backup of 4 folders.
'Copy files even if timestamp changes after initial comparison.'
'Copy permissions.'
I didn't select 'Detect changes in Target'
I have a single .fsf profile file which contains 4 lines, so that files are copied to backup folders as follows:
From D:\Folder1(Source) to D: Folder1(Target)
From X:\Folder2(Source) to D: Folder2(Target)
From X:\Folder3(Source) to D: Folder3(Target)
From X:\Folder4(Source) to D: Folder4(Target)
(As can be seen above, one Target folder is on the same drive as its Source folder.)
When I delete a Source sub-folder which is full of files it seems that Vice Versa doesn't delete that sub-folder from the Target.
VV constantly runs and when I click to 'Show Comparison' there is a huge and overwhelming list of files shown in green on the Source (left panel) and in red on the Target (right panel).
If I try to delete the unwanted files from the Target which VV failed to delete then I have to delete each file individually - but there are so many files listed the task would take an unrealistically long time.
Can anyone help? |

Yes, 'Folder1(Source)' and 'Folder1(Target)' are two entirely separate top level folders.
Both folders are on the same drive, drive D:
Also 2 other issues:
'Run profile at Startup' is selected - but it doesn't run at startup.
The icon (which changes from grey to yellow when VV is running) does not show in the System Tray like it used to. |

Thanks you, it looks fine, can you please activate the profile log in profile settings -> execution and then send or post the log of a run? So we can find out why ViceVersa is not deleting files/folders from target. thanks _________________ --

Hi, very sorry but before reading your reply I just deleted my VV Pro3 evaluation installation, complete with VV Pro2.
I am going to re-install VV Pro2 and try v3 again at a later date. Too much work on at the mo. If I get any further issues I'll post again. |
