If that were not the case then VVLauncher would not work as a Windows Scheduler item either, but it does. Problem is that it doesn't work as an integrated service with the InetServ.exe application you've included. |
Any response/thoughts? |

Hello
If you are running VVLauncher as a service under the admin account and you are not using mapped drives, but UNC paths directly, then I would not know why it is not able to access the source. Does the source need a special user / login?
As a possibility for trouble-shooting you could try the VVEngine add-on ( http://www.tgrmn.com/web/vvengine/vvengine.htm ) on and see if that shows the same issue.

Hi
1) Does the services account need to have access to the shared resources on a server witch is not within the domain?
2) How can I add an account that has access to the resources in the log on as? When I tried it doesn't allow it. example administrator@server_ip or server_ip\Accountname |

Try running the service under the admin account of the local system, and use the network settings for the remote , in the ViceVersa profile settings -> folders -> click on Network. _________________ --

Well I had it configure with a local account and the services started but I had to try something else because I kept on getting this error:

Hello
It's not possible to monitor the remote folder if the folder is not directly accessible by the account running the VVEngine service.

With the 2.0 I was able to use mapped drives.
Now with the 2.5 itīs just running with UNC-paths.
If I open ViceVersa I can see an use the mapped drives. If I use the VVLauncher I cantīt.
For me itīs okay. But other users of our company are not able to manage this. Because the drives donīt appear in the VV-Explorer. But in the Win-Explorer.
Is there anything I can do, to make the 2.5 working with mapped drives?
Most PCs have Win7 x64. The drives on a Thecus NAS accessed with Samba.

Hello
Which version / build of ViceVersa PRO are you using?
The users, do they have admin rights or not?

Before 2503, now 2504.
Users are admins. I tried it by right-click - run as admin as well.
Strange is:
When opening ViceVersa the mapped drives are there. Opening the profile-menu with the VVLauncher (ViceVersa-like) the mapped drives arenīt there.
Prepared profiles to not run with VVLauncher when using it like this:
T:\Data
but when using:
\\192.168.1.5\2011\Data
it works. |

Hello,
It's probably due to the mapped drive being created as non-admin, however VVLauncher runs as elevated admin and can't see the mapped drive... are you able to use the UNC instead?

My problem is that all of my VV jobs are stored on a mapped drive and the engine can no longer find the mapped drive nor will it allow me to change the path to a UNC. These jobs have been running for years with mapped drives what happened and how do I fix it? |
