Hi,
I am evaluating the software and have two questions atm which I did not find on the forum.
1) Is it possible to copy from the source including the folder name to the destination, e.g. source: c:\temp\test | destination: f:\test
The challenge I have at this moment is c:\temp\test | f:\
I would like to have the source folder test included in the destination
2) The profile that you create is the same profile used for the vvscheduler but the options in vvscheduler are much more and when I open the profile in viceversapro and save the profile all options configured in vvscheduler are gone.
Thanks in advance,
Dave |

Hello Dave,
thank you for evaluating ViceVersa.

There are two ways:
- use f:\test as target
- use f:\<sourcewithoutdrive>\ as target
The <sourcewithoutdrive> variable can only be used for targets. It expands to the corresponding source folder, but without drive. For instance if the source is "C:\source\folder\" and the target is "E:\target\folder\<source>\", the variable expands the target to "E:\target\folder\source\folder\". More info in the ViceVersa help file.

The options are separated. The .fsf created and saved in ViceVersa contains the profile options itself, while the task options in VVScheduler are concerning scheduling only.

Hi,
Thanks for the answers, I do think however that using the same file for viceversa and the vvscheduler is not the best way. This can cause losing settings when a user edits the viceversa profile the settings configured in the vvscheduler which are not available in viceversa are gone at least that is what happened in my case or am I doing something wrong?
Regards,
Dave |

Hi, VVScheduler does not change .fsf settings. Only ViceVersa does that. And ViceVersa does not change VVScheduler scheduling options. _________________ --
