|

My normal data transfer rate on my network is between 50 and 84MB/s but when Vice Versa is functioning, my data transfer rate is around 300KB/s
Any ideas please? |

What do you mean by 'when Vice Versa is functioning...', do you mean when a Profile is running it is slower than a standard copy ?
If so, maybe change the 'Use Windows native file copy' option to 'On' in VV :
Load your Profile then select menu options :
[File] / [Change Profile Settings...] / [Execution] / [Performance and Bandwidth]
(note - you may need to click on the 'more...' option for the [Performance and Bandwidth] menu option to be visible.)
Help file reads :
Use Windows native file copy:
Instructs ViceVersa to use the Windows native file copy to copy files, instead of its own algorithm. In certain situations, this option can improve performance significantly. If you are experiencing a slower file copy in ViceVersa, compared to the standard Windows file copy, try enabling this option. |

Unfortunately, no result.
VV transfer rate is fine. I just kills the network for anything else.
Please can anybody assist further? |

Ok, maybe wait for VV Tech Supt to answer.
In the meantime, you could perhaps 'limit/Throttle' the Bandwidth used by the Profile ?
Load your Profile then select menu options :
[File] / [Change Profile Settings...] / [Execution] / [Performance and Bandwidth ] - 'Limit Bandwidth to'
or maybe use multiple Profiles, so each one is processing less data at any one time. Could the copies be scheduled for 'out-of-hours' via VVScheduler / VVEngine maybe ?
Just a couple of ideas. |

Hi , you can control the max bandwidth used by ViceVersa in 2 ways:
- set process priority to IDLE in profile settings -> performance.
The Idle value is recommended for scheduling ViceVersa profiles to run in the background, without any impact on other applications or system resources. The Idle value causes file copy performance to be slower and the system is not impacted by the file copy operation. The Default value can be used in all cases where faster copy is more important.
- set a Bandwidth Limit profile settings -> performance : this will limit the bandwidth used by ViceVersa when copying files to a certain fixed value. _________________ --
