I have been trialing VVPro 2.5 Build 2518 & VVEngine 2.1 Build 2106.

Does VV 2.5 Pro's smart archiving help with continuous real-time backups using VVEngine or is smart archiving only for scheduled backups?

Do I just have available the "Keep Max copies per file" , "remove archive copies older Than" and filtering options with continuous real-time updates?

I must admit that I cannot see how smart archiving and continuous real-time backups could work together but..perhaps??

Hi , I think the smart archiving feature is quite useful when the profile is run a lot as it only keeps one file version every five minutes for the last hour, one file version every hour during the last day, one file version every day for the last month plus one file version per month.

Yes, I read that but how does that work if I do not have a schedule but am backing up only when changes are detected? Please explain how that works, if it works.

Hi, it will adjust the archive based on when ViceVersa runs.
