differential backup with Backup EXEC

According to ViceVersa forum, about differential backup Oct. 12 2005, it is described how it is possible to make a backup using archive. The things described, looks a lot like our configuration and everything works. Once a week we want a full backup and the four times a week, we want a differential backup to tape. We are using Backup Exec to make the final backup on tape. The problem is when we do the differential backup, with Backup Exec it does a full backup, even though we are sure that it should only be a differential backup.
Is it possible that Vice Versa sets the archive bit on all files, when it compares and therefore Backup Exec things that all files a changed?

Hello - VV does not change the archive flag unless is copying and updating a file. Are you backing up source, target or the archive folders?
