I have a large amount of media files, ripped into their original DVD (VideoTS) and BluRay (BDMV/Stream) format.
I would like to backup this media to an external drive.
What I would like to see happen is that if I have a movie on the original drive, then it gets copied to the backup. BUT, if I later watch the movie on the original drive, then run a backup a few days later, I don't want this same movie backed up again because the file dates have changed.
Basically, if it has been backed up once, it never needs to copy it again. It only needs to search for new movies, and back up those new movies.
What settings do I need to achieve this?
Thank you |

Hi, does the timestamp of the file changes after watching? ViceVersa uses the timestamp to decide if it has changed and needs to be copied. Alternatively you can instruct ViceVersa to only copy files when file size changes. _________________ --

Thanks TGRMN,
All working fine now.
I don't know why that first test run wanted to copy everything again, but it works perfectly now. It only deletes or adds according to the changes I make at the source. |
