After the automatic update of Windows 10 of yesterday the VVScheduler, when started, runs only for a fraction of a second but does not do anything and does not provide any error message. What can be done? |

I am having the exact same problem. After automatic upgrade to Windows 10, 64 bit version 1607 VVSched does not run task. When I click on a task and select "run Task" the "last run time" does update but the task does not run and there are no entries in the log file. All entries look OK. The Windows task scheduler looks OK but I cannot run from there either. I tried creating a new task and that did not work. This is happening on multiple computers all after receiving the update from Microsoft. I CAN run the profile directly in VVPro. Also it will run if I select "Show Comparison" |

I experienced exactly the same: the backup can be made manually, but not by VVScheduler |

I have noticed the same issue upon the update to Win 10 Version 1607. The scheduled tasks ARE running, it is just that the VV Scheduler is not showing the correct status information. If your tasks are being logged, look in the log files and you will see that the tasks were run. |

Any ideas about when this new build will be dropped on us? The most recent build is 2517 which was released in May of 2016. |

After the recent Windows 10 update the manual "Run" will not work - I upgraded VVScheduler to 2.1.0.0 and VVPro 2.5 to v 2518 but it still will not work. Auto schedules not working either. Any suggestions? |

Hi, please delete then re-create the tasks that are not working. thanks
Or you can just edit them ('edit task') and press OK. _________________ --

I had the same problem with v2516. Updated to v2518 and edited all the tasks, (re-entered the password) and the tasks will now run manually if you select "run task", but will not run at the scheduled time. The "next time" updates but no other status info changes. |

Hi, make sure VVScheduler version is 2.1.0.0 (just in case). Then maybe try deleting and recreate the tasks. thanks _________________ --

Thanks, when I first updated to 2518, all the tasks had a status message saying they needed to be elevated. re-entering the password for each allowed them to run with "run task" but not on timed.
Just to be sure, last night I reloaded 2518, and it accepted all tasks without modification. Only 4 of the 16 tasks have run so far this morning, but it does look like that has solved the problem. VVscheduler must have been out of date.
Many thanks for you quickresponse to the problem. It's good to work with such a responsive company. Cheers,Mike |
