|
|
Hi,
We are using ViceVersa Pro's VVScheduler to synchronize files from one server to another in a Windows 7 workstation. And it is doing a great job doing what it is supposed to do under a user account.
Due to the changes happening to our team, that user account has to be deleted so the synchronization/back up tasks has to be recreated using another user account. I tried to use the software on the same machine to setup the tasks using another generic account we have. But for some reason, when I try to edit a profile on VVSchedule I am getting this error message "The ViceVersa application was not found. Please install ViceVersa" although I can run ViceVersa Pro from the start menu.
My questions:
1. Does ViceVersa Pro require a separate license per user account or per machine?
2. Is it possible to transfer tasks from the old account to the new account?
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Best Regards,
Alex Pangilinan |

Also, would like to add that creating tasks using the new user account does not seem to work 100% as it does not save the ALL the settings specified when creating/edtiing the task.
For example, the ViceVersa Profile to schedule does not get saved.
And I cannot run the task because of this. Any ideas?
Thanks again for your support! |

Hi, make sure you install ViceVersa for all users on the computer. Probably better if you try re-installing the latest ViceVersa. Let us know how it goes. thanks! _________________ --

Just FYI - We have an older version of ViceVersa. I believe it was bought in 2005. Is there a fee for upgrading to a newer version of the software?
Thank you. |
