|
|
All,
I am trying to copy "all differences of source" between source and target to another location. Right now how I do it today using UI
1.Compare Source and Target
2.Select all (Ctrl +A) in Left Side Source pane
3. Right click on Source Pane and Select "Copy To"
4.Provide Path where I am copying to
5. Check "Replicate Folder Structure"
6. Hit ok
No I want to automate from step 1 to 6 in a script. I already have created ViceVersa profile files to do step 1. Using command line I have been able to automate upto step 1
i.e. ViceVersa.exe "Path to profile.fsf" /autocompare
Can someone suggest is it possible to automate step 2 through 6 using ViceVersa COMMAND LINE |

Hi, I am sorry but this action can not be automated currently, that is, copy the difference between two directories to a third directory.... _________________ --

I'm having a very difficult time getting started with the software and hope you can point me to detailed information on how to use visual comparison, particularly on how to mark which files I don't want to add to the Target. Specifically, I am using the Backup method and wish to update files on the Target drive and delete files on the target drive but not add anything. I would also like to know how to add files to a different place as this person is talking about. Thanks so much. |
