|
|
On my source I have a folder in the C: drive containing files and also, in that folder, a symbolic link to a folder on the D: drive on my source machine. On my target I have one folder in its C: drive containing all the files and sub-folders. All the data is really there, none is in a symbolically linked folder.
When I sync first time, OK. But when I next sync, ViceVersa tells me that all the files transferred last time from my target to the D: drive on my source machine (via the symbolic link in the C: drive) have been removed (although they haven't - they're still there).
So I thought, I'll exclude the folder on my target from the C:target<=>C:source synchronization and set up an additional synchronization from the affected sub-folder on C:target<=>D:source
Now, I can do this by running ViceVersa twice, once for the C:t<=>C:s and another time for the C:t(special folder)<=>D:s. But is there any way I can set up one synchronization to do everything? |

Hi,
It should be possible to do in 1 profile.
Regarding :
"ViceVersa tells me that all the files transferred last time from my target to the D: drive on my source machine"
Which files are missing according to ViceVersa the source or target files?
thanks _________________ --

The files missing to VV are those on the source machine which actually reside on Drive D: (i.e. those that were previously copied from the target to the symbolic link folder on Drive C: on the source machine). So, when VV is restarted it doesn't "see thru" the symbolic link on source C: into the source D: folder. |
